Since I was diagnosed with high Functioning Autism this has allowed me in some form to place things in my life and why I am so good at some things and not others. Okay take some people are good at the academic routes in their lives unfortunately this was not me and boy did I struggle at this, and I was given no help or support to try and overcome these barriers and now I find I might also have to deal with the frustration and hurt.
This blog is about giftings and something that I am going to share with you in this latest writing is my art, something that I have discovered that I am good at, and this is to show that we as autistic people have giftings and talents that are not often allowed to shine at.
In my case if I had at an earlier age be allowed to develop my talent, I might be able to show this work in a gallery or developed it further, you see I love colour and the complex patterns and how I love art deco, William Morris design work, I also love stain glass windows.
Yet in the development stages I love to listen to music whenever I am working because this can reflect the design, so tend to listen to jazz funk and Lounge music and love anything with a beat it gets the senses do you agree that having music on can influence what is produced?

I am a talented musician as I play a wind synth a Roland AE-20 as I am a saxophone player, but I had to stop playing them as it was hurting my shoulders and elbows. It is a great piece of technology. I just happen to be gifted with the ability to improvise which is great few people can do this without years of study!
