Why
do we have Psychologists who appear to be able to treat damaged people who have
complex PTSD?
First
of all, in the last couple of days I have found that the psychologist I was
referred to by a local mental health trust was not qualified to treat me,
especially with me a damaged individual diagnosed with Complex PTSD in July
2020 and this was not due to the pandemic by the way.
I
am a survivor from the boarding school movement, unfortunately I was
systematically bullied from day one and then later in my second year right
through to when I left sexually abused, to the point that this has ruined my
life, yes that is right I came out of the now defunct Eccles Hall School with
no qualifications whatsoever and I was mortified and of course being sexually
abused meant that my mind was elsewhere.
I
now find out some years later that because of my life being ruined and being
referred to a psychologist that I could have and should have been referred to
an alternative treatment in the first place, such as the sexual abuse services
but instead of this is have been sent around the houses and sent on a fishing
exercise to the point that I am no further forward to when I was referred in
July 2020.
I
was told by Health in Mind that the Sexual Abuse service would not take me as I
was in their word “so Angry and Cross” that they would not take you on, and
that you had to go through this programme first before I could go down this
route. This now appears to be utter rubbish and as if they would like to go
down their own set of protocols. Sod their protocols I am here a person in my
own right who is seeking professional help and all you can do is to fob me off.
